About B & W
Paul Best and Gene Wright founded B & W Charters in Kalamazoo in 1983 with one motorcoach and one idea: personalized charter service for the Kalamazoo area, done to a higher standard than the big carriers bothered with.
Two generations later the company is still headquartered in Kalamazoo and still locally owned. The single coach became a fleet of 16 to 56 passenger motorcoaches, mini coaches, vans, and trolley coaches. Service grew to cover all of southwestern Michigan and Northern Indiana, with trips running anywhere in the United States and Canada. A tour department now builds one-day and multi-day excursion packages, and contract shuttle work fills the calendar between charters.
The office staff plans trips with modern dispatch and routing tools. Drivers train year round with a dedicated safety director, ride-checks included. Every trip still gets the personal attention the two founders started with.

I have led 4 senior trips in my 5 short years of teaching. Three of those trips were to D.C. The trip this year was by far my best experience. I believe a large part of that success is due to our bus driver, Dave. He was absolutely amazing! The kids adored him and have brought him up in conversation multiple times this week in class.
